I like to run

Along a trail

Up a hill

Down a long hill

Along a creek

In a park, past some trees

Playing soccer with friends

Or even kicking the ball all alone,

I kick it, I chase it, I catch it

Then, I kick the ball again.

My dog likes to run, too

Around the house, in the back yard

Chasing a stick or a ball or a bird,

We run together

He jumps and barks and bites a little,

I laugh and wrestle him.

Today I have new shoes

From my grandma

They look sharp, neat and cool

Somehow, someway, I don’t know how

They make me run faster,

I can win races, and run along with the wind

I can even run from the wind,

And sometimes from our cat, when she’s not being so lazy.
